At the helm of the Morant Bay High School Alumni Association is a visionary and dynamic leadership team, dedicated to steering our association towards greater heights. Comprising passionate alumni, each leader brings a wealth of experience, commitment, and a profound love for our alma mater.
Bertram is an Attorney-at-Law with a thriving law practice in his home parish of St. Thomas, where he also dedicates much of his time to youth and community development. He is also a Student Services and Development Manager at the University of the West Indies and has served on several school boards including his alma maters – Morant Bay High School and Barking Lodge Primary School.
Dionne is an Attorney-at-Law and journalist with the RJR Communications Group. She is renowned for hosting Beyond the Headlines and All Angles. A former MBHS head girl, she is always eager to give back to her alma mater, whether through service or mentorship.
Gene is a Chartered Governance Professional (FCIS) and worked as Company Secretary for a number of publicly listed companies on the Jamaican Stock Exchange. She is officially retired but has been “re-tyred” and is still fully engaged in the field. She has been serving the Alumni for several years.
A math lover in high school, Andrene is now a Senior Financial Economist at the Bank of Jamaica, where she also heads the Macro-prudential Surveillance and Policy Unit. She enjoys reading anything and everything and loves to travel and experience new cultures.
Throughout high school, all of Christin’s end-of-term reports said “She talks too much,” – and so it’s no surprise that she ended up with a career in communication. Christin currently works in marketing and public relations at the University of Central Florida. She is passionate about her alma mater and always eager to serve.
Myrtle is a retired Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Jamaica, where she was responsible for forecasting and analyzing economic variables and designing and monitoring the country’s financial programmes. She now teaches Ikebana – the Japanese art of floral arrangement. She has served the Alumni Association for several decades.
Emerson has been practicing dentistry in Kingston since 1986. He is actively involved in community development and is a founding member and past president of the MBHS Alumni Association. He enjoys keeping fit and his hobbies include art, songwriting and singing.
Peter is the managing consultant of Jonstar Consulting Group, a boutique management consulting firm in South Florida. He is also an adjunct faculty and doctoral study chair at California Intercontinental University. He is a proponent of volunteerism and is actively involved in giving service through several nonprofit organizations, now including the MBHS Alumni.
Brian is Head of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the Bustamante Hospital for Children. He is the President of the Medical Association of Jamaica. Brian has served the alumni for more than two decades in various capacities including as president.
Nikicia recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a degree in Business Management and is currently a management trainee. She is also a resourceful and dedicated entrepreneur and is eager to serve her alma mater.
A former President of the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation Junior Council, Dantae is a dedicated, enthusiastic and charismatic youth ambassador who is passionate about empowering young people and creating opportunities for their personal and professional development. He is currently pursuing undergraduate studies in Political Science at the University of the West Indies.
