About Our Hall of Fame

Morant Bay High School is proud to introduce the Hall of Fame Distinguished Awards, an initiative to honour and recognise outstanding alumni who have excelled in their fields and contributed meaningfully to nation-building.

We invite you, our valued alumni, to submit nominations for individuals who are making a significant impact in their area of work or service.

Eligibility Criteria:

The primary requirement for selection is high-level achievement driven by personal effort or initiative in any field or endeavour that contributes to the development of the school, parish, or nation. Contributions with global impact may also be considered.

Nominees should have a proven track record of excellence and have made a notable contribution to their field.

If you know someone who embodies these qualities, we encourage you to nominate them for this prestigious recognition.

Nominees will be from the following areas:

  • Education
  • Sports
  • Science, Agriculture and Technology
  • Medicine and Research
  • Law and Public Policy Advocacy
  • Business Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Community Service and Humanitarianism
  • Arts and Media
  • Contribution to School Development
  • Outstanding Service as Member of Staff

Nominees should possess at least the following requirements to qualify for nomination:

Distinguished Service Awards- Category 10

Hall of Fame Distinguished Service Awards will be given to honour a former member of staff for their service and contribution to Morant Bay High School.

Primary requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of service to Morant Bay High School (academic, administrative or ancillary staff or Board Member)
  • Achievements in their field or at school
  • Service to community; local and or national
  • Role model for youth
  • Clear and professionally taken photograph of nominee

Primary requirements

  • Graduate of Morant Bay High School
  • 35 years of age and older
  • Contributors to their field generally at the highest level.
  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in their field
  • Seen as a role model to others
  • Upstanding citizen (never been convicted)
  • Service through activities to school, their community and or country
  • Clear and professionally taken photograph of nominee

 

Other requirements:

  • Demonstrated outstanding achievement arising from personal initiative or innovation
  • Contributed to Morant Bay High School (time or donation)
  • Achiever at the highest levels of office or appointment available (where applicable; eg army, police,)

Support Material

 

A limited number of newspaper clippings, magazine articles, copies of awards received, letters of invitation or acknowledgement, pictures of community activities etc., should be included to help substantiate the accomplishments and contributions of the nominee. These supporting material should be listed in chronological order on the nomination form.

Ceremony Date

The ceremonywill be held each year in October, the Saturday before the start of Alumni Week. In 2025, the date will be Saturday, October 4, 2025.
